The Long Turn: Finding the Stillness Beneath the Script

It’s about un-learning the scripts that drain us so we can show up—on set, in the boardroom, or at the kitchen table—with a presence that is unshakeable.

Three years ago, I began a transition that I couldn't yet put into words. I moved my life, I built a home on a farmette, and I entered a "messy middle" that was far more expansive—and at times, more lost—than I ever anticipated.

It has taken these three years for the blur to resolve into a clear image.

I realized that while I deeply value my life’s work as a Director and Producer—the thrill of the frame, the energy of the set, the art of the story—I was ready to evolve how I inhabit that role. I wanted to move from the "hustle" of the industry to the resonance of true wayfinding.

This year, the focus finally snapped into place.

I’m not putting down my lens; I’m simply widening it. I am integrating twenty-five years of directing talent and prepping executives into a deeper mission: Soul North Wayfinding. It is a sanctuary for the high-achiever who, like me, has mastered the "Performance" of success but is ready to reclaim her own inner compass. It’s about un-learning the scripts that drain us so we can show up—on set, in the boardroom, or at the kitchen table—with a presence that is unshakeable.

The woods are quiet today. The light is returning. And for the first time in a long time, the view is perfectly clear.

With deep peace and resonance, Liz
