The Story of the Return

How a single photograph, a barndominium, and a wild acre of land became a map home.

The Hider

For years, I played small.
I was the steady one behind the scenes—supporting other people’s dreams, producing their stories, and keeping my own light politely dimmed.
On paper, life looked good: creative work, a roof, bills paid. But inside, there was a whisper I couldn’t ignore: is this all there is?

I’d become a background character in my own frame.

The Fracture

During a street-photography workshop, my lens caught a reflection I didn’t expect—myself, in torment, not pretty, not polished, but true.
That image became the start of a project called FRACTURED.
Looking at it later, I saw the truth: my energy was split between earning and creating, duty and desire.

That picture cracked something open. Once I saw it, I couldn’t un-see it.

That picture was the first coordinate of my own Un-becoming. It was the moment I realized that being 'The Rock' for everyone else had left me crumbled inside.

The Dismantling

Comfort began to feel like a cage.
So I followed an unexplainable tug—a quiet yes that led me to a stretch of wild acreage far from the city.
I’d never built anything beyond a storyboard, but I became my own general contractor and raised a barndominium from the soil up.

I wasn't just building a house; I was un-ravelling the scripts of the 'Walled City.' Every board nailed was a somatic lesson in Creative Resilience. I was learning that I could trust my own North even when the map was blank.

The Re-Membering

Nature became my teacher.
The fallow seasons showed me that stillness is fertile.
The seedlings taught patience; the storms, resilience.
Out here I began to understand that home isn’t a place—it’s an energy.
An inner rhythm you can return to anytime.

That was my re-birthday—the reunion of all the parts I’d once hidden or hurried past.

The Birth of Soul North

From that re-membering came Soul North Wayfinding. It is the distillation of twenty-five years of leadership, communication, and deep-soul recovery into a single, living compass.

We no longer look at life as a project to be managed, but as a terrain to be walked through three essential phases:

  • The Spark (Un-clench): Moving out of functional freeze and back into the body.

  • The Map (Un-ravel): Shedding the outgrown identities to see fresh possibilities.

  • The Guide (Un-become): Leading and living from a place of unshakeable, authentic presence.

The Invitation

If you’ve outgrown your old coordinates…
If you sense there’s a truer rhythm calling you home…
If you’re ready to live aligned instead of divided...

Come walk this path.
Your compass is waiting.
